If an HIV+ person with a bleeding gum kissed someone with a healthy mouth?could the tiny ingestion of blood into the digestive tract infect the other person?

Absolutely. Get to the dentist and take care of the gum disease if that can't be done don't kiss.

It is not very likely, but it can happen. There are four fluids that can carry and transmit HIV: blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. Saliva doesn't transmit HIV as far as we know, although the virus has been found in saliva of HIV infected people. It is, however, theoretically possible to contract HIV through kissing. If both partners have cuts or sores in the mouth or bleeding gums, infected blood could possibly be exchanged. However, in practice this is unlikely.
If you have a cut in your mouth or gums are bleeding, you should not kiss.

No. Unless there are open cuts or sores in the other persons mouth transmission cannot occur. And saliva has binding agents in it that bind to HIV virus and make it too large to pass into the membranes in the mouth.
