Mouth and associated structures - physical disruption of food, entry point

Stomach - breaks stuff up with physical force, acid etc

Small/large intestines - absorption of nutrients

the digestive system is formed of:

A : digestive tract which comprises of:
1- oral cavity
2- GIT tract(gastrointestinal tract) : esophagus,stomach, small intestine, large intestine and anal canal

B : associated glands : liver, pancreas, salivary glands

functions:

ingestion: oral cavity
fragmentation:oral cavity
digestion:oral cavity, liver , pancreas, salivary glands, small intestine(mainly duodenum)
absorption:small intestine(jejunum) , large intestine
excretion of waste proudcts: anal canal
