Do I have a stomach infection or some kind of digestive problem? Symptoms inside.?For about the last year and a half after gaining a couple pounds[I'm at a healthy weight] I started experiencing these symptoms:
-Constipated/or diarrhea[lately it's been constipation]
-Bloated after any meal and can last up to days unless I eat almost nothing to get rid of it
-Abdominal pain
-Kidney/lower back pain
-Severe headaches
-Gas release
What can be the cause of this. I've lately been eating only a couple bowls of cereal per day with barley any milk and for awhile I stopped getting bloated. Then yesterday I just had one brownie and all the symptoms came back. Also if I ever push against my stomach a little, I hear like sounds as if bubbles are popping or liquid is moving. What can this be and how can I cure this?
Correction=I had the brownie and about 3 bowls of cereal yesterday

Unfortunately with those symptoms there are many things it could possibly be, there are only so many symptoms and many potential causes. Either way I would not rely on this site to try and self-diagnose your condition. Take it from someone who has a messed up GI tract, go to your doctor! The current diet you are on is not healthy, especially if you stay on it for an extended period of time. There is a chance a simple blood test could diagnose your condition if it is a metabolic disorder and it may be easily treated. Many GI issues can get worse if you do not either get treatment or pinpoint the cause and change your diet or lifestyle. And if it is something serious sitting on it could prove fatal.
I did not go to my doctor right away for my GI issues and I have suffered greatly for it, I don't recommend following the same path. Most of the tests are not that big a deal and just think of how great it would be to have your life back! That is what keeps me going when the GI specialist I am seeing orders a test I am uncomfortable with, the chance that he can find out what is wrong with me and maybe fix me or help me find ways to manage my condition if it is not treatable. The chance of getting my life back makes it worth the time, effort and money. Best of luck!
