What is the black that runs along the bottom of raw prawns? I know the top line is digestive tract?I am preparing fresh prawns and I am familiar with removing the digestive tract that runs along the back or top of prawns. However there is a black line that runs along the bottom of the prawns I have bought. I am wondering what this black line is and whether that needs removing as well or not?

not really sure what it is, but it's safe to eat, so no worries. make sure to wear gloves while cleaning them! they are covered in bacteria!
