STOMACh PROBLEMS?my stomach has been hurting.where my surgery line is. but i had surgery when i was 5 im now 17. everytime i take a sip of something it burns and kinda makes me tense up. the surgery line is 2 inches above my belly buttom and a little to the right. whats wrng? i had surgery because everytime i swolloed sometime it came back up

well, first before giving a defiite answer, we need to check on several things..
first, do you know any more info on why the surgery was done?
did you have the surgery on the oesophageal sphincter?
when you cough , does a lump appear on the surgery line?
if so, it may be a hernia..
but , a burning pain is suggestive of gastritis or even gastrooesophagioreflux disease..
after all you may have had the surgery for a problem in the gastro-oesophageal junction..so, it may be even a recurence..
however, we recommend you to go to the doctor who did the surgery if possible and explain the symptoms now..
a doctor needs to do a thorough examination on you.
