science prodject help please i need all the help i can get? This assignment will be part of your systems of the body project. This is Part II of the project. You will complete this portion of the project now. By the end of Lesson 16, you will have completed 5 parts of your project--each one on a different system of the body. For this part, you will conduct research on the left and right sides of the brain and the activities they each control. You may use the library or websites. Some keywords you can use in your research are:
left brain
right brain
brain hemispheres
Although all healthy people have active right and left sides of the brain, some researchers believe that most people are more strongly controlled by one side or the other.
When you feel you have learned something about the left and right sides of the brain, make up a list of questions to ask five people to find out if they are more right- or left-brain oriented. You should include questions about what they like to do, their skills, and weaknesses. For example, someone very good at math and learning foreign languages is probably more controlled by the left side of their brain. When you finish interviewing all five people, write a report on what you have discovered. Include the following in your report:
Skills most likely controlled by the left side of the brain.
Skills most likely controlled by the right side of the brain.
List of the people you interviewed and why you think they are more strongly controlled by one side of the brain as opposed to the other side.
This assignment is Part III of your Systems of the Body Project. This part of the project will focus on the digestive system.
For this assignment, pretend that you are a travel agent. However, instead of leading people on tours of places on Earth, you lead people on tours of the human body. Imagine that you need to design a travel brochure that describes the digestive system. Name and disuss each part of the digestive system and let your clients know all about the features of each part. You can be creative as you work through this project; just be sure to properly describe each part and its features.
Download the assignment form for entering your work. Click here to download. Follow your teacher's instructions for submitting this assignment.
An example description is given here to help get you started, but you can use your imagination to complete this assignment however you want.
Example
Stop #1 on our fantastic digestive system tour is the mouth. Filled with teeth, the mouth is just right for chewing, crushing and grinding. It's a mechanical digestion machine! Come on in and notice these salivary glands. They may look small, but these glands can produce almost 3 pints of saliva every day. They begin the work of chemical digestion and turn that slice of pizza into a mushy slushy mix. Take a look around, but watch out for any signs of swallowing, or you'll get pushed right down the esophagus!
The Digestive System: A Travel Brochure
Enter your "travel brochure" description of the digestive system here. You may want to make each main part of the digestive system one stop on the tour. Describe what travelers will see at each stop and what will happen there. Make sure that you take travelers all the way through the system from the mouth to the large intestine.
Use the following terms in your travel brochure:
üMouth
üEsophagus
üSaliva
üEnzyme
üPeristalsis
üSmall Intestine
üStomach
üVilli
üLarge Intestine
üBile
üPancreatic Juice
üIntestinal Juice
