Project on a disease - any ideas for an interesting topic?

Project on a disease - any ideas for an interesting topic?I have to do a project on either a cardiovascular, a respiratory, or a digestive disease, condition, or disorder....I'm looking for one that is interesting, not something everyone else will do. Any ideas?

well how about ebola...its one of the most dangerous viruses of all time

Cystic Fibrosis. They are doing great research in gene therapy for it now. You can read on it at www.cff.org

Or if you want to go with something that's not so common, try Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It's a very rare genetic connective tissue disease. You can google it for info.
