Mcdonalds food poisoning with long term side effects.?i was sick in sept and i have been sick ever since the day i ate there. i was too sick to inform them at the time that there food made me sick. as the time passed by i did not think to inform them because people get food poisoning all the time and i was so sure that i would be better soon. but several test, hospital visits, doctor visits, therapist vistits, nausea, pain, heartburn, difficult bowel movement,huge weight loss, 1000's of dollars on medication alone and a gallbladder surgery.----later I am STILL sick. It all started from food poisoning which can lead to gastritis which can lead to irritable bowel syndrome,GERD, Crohn's, and other digestive diseases and disorders. i was not diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome until last month. I have suffered so miserably and my life is ruined. i had to quit everything but i can do anything right now.
is there a grace period or can i still get a case with a lawyer? i have this for the rest of my life and i am no longer financially stable so i dont even no how i will afford a lawyer. and it is all because of them!

The passage of time will not prevent you from hiring a lawyer. Your ability to sue is governed by the statute of limitations for that type of suit in your state. You are probably fine on that. What you may have trouble with, is relating your illness to a specific source. The proof is gone. You cannot be certain of the cause of the food poisoning, or if you had food poisoning, or if the food poisoning is related to the other problems. I doubt that they are related subjects. Food poisoning usually has a rather long incubation period, often 24 hours, and then passes rather quickly.

No lawyer will touch this case. At least not one that you would be able to PAY, and yeah they will make you pay to take this one. You could have tried to get a case when you went in the first time, the thing is that McDonalds will argue that the Hospital or Doctor likely screwed things up more then their food. Thing is that there is just too much to believe it was all them.

I'm sympathetic and on your side, however, you've not even convinced me that McDonald's CAUSED your problems. You haven't got a chance in hell especially If none of your many medical reports mention food poisoning as a root cause. Sorry! RJ

You have no case.
You can't prove that the food poisoning came from McDonalds. Far too much time has passed for you to have any valid proof. No lawyer would take the case, especially against a corporation like McDonalds, which has hundreds of lawyers on payroll to deal with cases like this.

do you really think you got IBS,which is a non contagious disease, from McDonald's? you sound so pathetic! "oh no! my credit report is so bad all because of McDonald's and their poisoning fries!!" go check out freecreditreport.com if you want better credit or whatever ur complaining about. i bet thousands of other people ate the same type of burger and fries you did and are fine. i have crohns and IBD, which is kinda similar but just imagine something for me. imagine a 11 year old, going through that exact same thing as you even worse having people taunt you! turning 13 and becoming incredibly depressed and feeling the need to commit suicide, completely lost in the world not knowing why these things are happening. and think about having to go my enitre life taking pills EVERY SINGLE DAY just like you! im sorry what use to be your perfect life is now ruined but i never even got a chance at perfect. so shut the hell up, blaming mcdonalds for something that will get harder but will get better. plus u will probably just lose more money because IBS has no known cause. so go cry about your sucky life to burger king because their food is nasty!
sorry for being harsh, i feel your pain, but seriously their are cancer patientents and other people in the world going through worse, u just need to suck it up and take it! your stronger than lawyers and judges and other legaly crap. Your stronger than IBS.
