I've heard that honey can slow down digestion and make you lose weight if that's all you eat. Is that true?I was in class, when a guy downed some honey and people started asking him why he was doing it. He said that it was for wrestling and that it's able to slow down digestion, and if it's all you eat, you can lose weight. Is that true?

no, but it would be a really effective way to develop diabetes.
honey is chemically identical to refined sugar, body uses it the exact same way.

No. There is a lot of sugar in honey. If anything, it will be something that takes longer for your body to break down.

Eating honey exclusively is very bad for you. It deprives your body of necessary vitamins and nutrients. There's a reason the US Food and Drug Administration has created the 'Food Guide Pyramid.'

I don't see how making the food digest slower can make you loose weight...seems kinda wrong if you ask me, I would think the longer to digest, the more stays! But I may be wrong!
