Is the length of the Human digestive tract more like that of omnivores or herbivores?I'm pretty sure that Humans are meant to be omnivores, but some vegetarians insist that Humans have long digestive tracts that point to them being herbivores.

Our digestive tract is pretty short as far as the great Apes go, but longer than the typical carnivores. It is more like an omnivore's and probably points to us being adapted to eating some meat and/or cooked food.
People's ability to exist on a vegetarian diet seems to vary. Some people do not fair well on a completely vegetarian diet (although many do). That indicates that at least a small portion of the population need a small amount of meat to stay healthy. A small amount of meat is usually recommended in children's diet to assist in development.

What do you think? Answer below! Facts and information on the human digestive system including how it works and related digestion health problems.
