Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease causing swelling and pain in your digestive tract. It most often affects 20 to 30 year old. It can be very debilitating to some but people function and live with Crohn's ever day of their lives and are still productive members of society and able parents. There are medications which can alleviate symptoms. Symptoms include abdominal pain, often in the lower right area, and diarrhea. Rectal bleeding, weight loss, arthritis, skin problems, and sometimes fever.
One of my employees has Crohns. She is a productive employee but when her Crohns flares up it puts her in bed for about a week at the time. She experiences this about 3 times per year. This being said, it is different for every person who has it.
The colonoscopy and biopsies will be key to determining your diagnosis and treatment if any.

My aunt has had it for twenty years and with medication you wouldn't even know there was anything wrong with her. Try not to worry too much because it is a treatable disease and you should be just fine.

1-ACCUTANE has been associated with causing crohns.Look up the lawsuits flying.#2They misdiagnosed my mom with it,and it was gangrene of the bowel instead, and the section was not getting blood flow. By the time they figured it out,it was too late to support life.#3 If your pain is severe-get to the ER& have a cat scan& blood work done for infection. Don't take it lightly. This is a very serious condition. Be well..
