I had ACL Reconstruction surgery almost 3 years ago. Ever since I have had stomach / digestive problems.?I had two knee surgeries for the reconstruction. I of course will try and get my medical records so I can find out for sure, but I believe that something happened to me during one of the, or both of those surgeries to cause my digestive problem. Ive read before, and although I cannot find it now, that antibiotics used during surgeries can cause problems to gut-flora, which would throw off the digestive system. Does anyone know anything about this. I know something happened with the surgeries because before that, I had no problems whatsoever, ever since, I have had stomach issues. They include chronic diarrhea, cramps, gas. I have also become lactose intolerant since. I also had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. That proved no IBS or Chrohns disease. So why is my digestive system so bad, I cant even work because of this. I cant hang out with my friends, go to clubs or anything because I am always sick.
I have not been tested for celiacs disease, nor have they taken a stool sample. Unfortunately I am out of work right now and do not have Insurance. So its like its a guessing game right now. If it was the anasthesia, what kind of probiotics would I have to take ? I heard there are multiple kinds, and if that is the case, would taken probiotics make me normal again, as in not having digestive problems ?

I could be because of the anasthesia given during surgery. If it is from the gut flora, it would have already resolved and furthermore that can be solved by taking a probiotic formula. You can try that since that may help with the diarrhea, gas, etc.
Have you been tested for celiacs disease? Also, have they taken a culture of your stool?
