I bought 2 dogs from the same place. Both are in the hospital!!!!?One is 7 months old and the other I have had less than 30 days. This will be the second surgery for the baby.
I think the 7 month old (who has a digestive disease that is genetic) is my responsibility.
I think that the people that sold me 2 sick dogs should help with the bills of the other dog. I've had him less than 30 days and he's spent 2 weeks total of that time in the hospital.
What do you think is fair?

awww. That's so sad. I think the People who sold you the dogs shoul pay about half, maybe more if they knew the dogs were sick and didn't tell you.

you need to give details about the illness in order to answer this effectively; independent people have less of an obligation by law; also, do you have paperwork from them re: professional breeder ; more details

Did these people breed these dogs? or did you get them from a pet store? Either way they should pay the vet bills. My daughter once bought a dog from a pet store. The dog ended up having surgery and the pet store paid for the whole bill. If you got it from a private owner I would talk to them. If they dont pay the bill then I would take them to small claims court and contact the SPCA in your area.

I think you need to tell the people about it and tell them you want them to repay you for all the medical bills and look into the place that you got them from and make a report if possible. Cause they could be doing this to other people too. And making a lot of dogs sick.

sue em!! Chances are they're trying to screw others over too. If need be - disguise a friend have him buy another pup this time with a contract though!
