How might a heart or circulatory disorder affect your life?

Posted by alexandrasara
The most common cause of heart disease is atherosclerosis. This is when fatty plaques build up in the arteries slowly over time. Eventually, atherosclerosis can cause a clot that gives you a heart attack but partial occlusion (blockage) of the arteries in your heart can give you angina - this is chest pain that occurs on exertion and is relieved by rest. The same problem in the arteries of the legs can cause intermittent claudication - pain in the back of the legs caused by exertion and reileved by rest. As you can see, for this reason people with circulatory/heart problems find it hard to carry our daily activities because these types of pain can limit the amount they are able to do, and become debilitating.

It depends on the severity of the disorder. Milder forms do not affect your life at all.
