How do I gain weight without getting too muscular?I am 5'11" and 111-112lbs at best. I have trouble eating in the mornings as my stomach is not awake (breakfast is out, if I try to eat before noon i feel nautious and like i have to throw up), I usually eat steak, veggies, and potatoes for lunch and dinner, sometimes fish and such, I eat healthy. I can weigh myself before a meal, eat a whole 1lb steak, and not gain an ounce, how is this possible if i just put a pound in me? I've been to the doc, and we're running some tests, but I have had all of them before (six months ago) and they all came up negative for any kind of diseases that would effect my appetite, and I am not anorexic in terms of thinking I'm fat, I want to gain weight but can't. I have been told that because of my bipolar disorder some of the neurotransmitter serotonin may not be being absorbed properly and that can mess with my GI tract. I have a medical marijuana card, but the munchies are slowly going away. I feel like I am wasting away. I want to gain weight, but I also don't want to be like John Basedow, so ripped im ugly. I'd like lean muscle, and don't want to look like a body builder. I exercise but don't work out for this reason. Can anyone help me get to a healthy 130 without making me look like arnold?

at 5'11, 130 is not a healthy weight, I'd try aiming more for the 175 range. and the only way to look like arnold is if you're taking steriods. The way I gained my weight is by eating McDonalds non-stop.

I think your chances of getting"ripped" are slim to none at this point. Also I would lay off the pot, because it is likely wreaking some kind of havoc with your metabolism. Fish oil in at least 10 grams a day has been known to help depression, and it should therefore be tried on bipolar. Also take B complex with C and extra vitamin D.
