I'm sorry to hear this. Hopefully your kitty will be okay.

If I were you I'd take her to the vet ASAP. If you can't for any reason, go here: http://pets.webmd.com/cats/symptoms/default.htm That website has common cat symptoms and possible sicknesses. Try to make her feel as comfortable as she can, make sure she is warm, talk to her calmly and has food/water/litter box near by so she doesn't need to move too much. I'm sorry I cannot be much help, but I hope your kitty is okay. Sorry to hear about her.

Once your cat stops eating (or only eating treats... and then dwindling down to eating nothing), then it becomes a serious issue. Same with drinking less and less water.

My 13-year-old beloved cat died recently, after about 3 days of completely not eating (to my knowledge)... but still drinking water occasionally. And this is after 7 days or so of becoming more & more lethargic (considering he always was very frisky).

I was inexperienced in recognizing the pre-dying symptoms... I wish I took him to vet sooner. (I was planning to take him the morning after he passed away... too late. :'-(

And even though the vet probably couldn't have cured him by that stage... let alone diagnose him.... but at least I might have been made more aware that he was dying... and it would've been less of a "shock". (Again, I was inexperienced, and kept my hopes up, thinking that he was just going through a finicky "phase".)

The vet said he had liver failure... but his eyes were very clear until the end, no yellow in the whites of the eyes. However, afterwards she pointed out the yellowish color that was inside ears & gumline... I didn't know to check there.

And I might have even considered putting him to sleep as an option, since I'm sure he was very uncomfortable during the last few days of not eating & drinking sporadically.

Yet he still purred when I brushed him on the last day, and enjoyed licking his catnip (but not with as much gusto). What a great cat. I miss him every day.

Just remember that if you notice your cat is not eating for over 24 hours, then that is truly a serious sign... My cat even sneered at the yummier "people food". :-\

And crying alot, too ? Take her to the vet ASAP !

Hi Ilona, your cat may also have something in her brain, like brain tumor or fluid collection...this is why she might be sleepy or lethargic......By the way, sorry to hear about your cat...I liked your cat.
