Help me with my health problems before it's too late? Please someone help!!?I suffer from chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, gas pains, acid reflux disease, and bloating. I'm female and I'm only 17 years old. My entire digestive system just feels so messed up. I am also overweight. I weigh 170 pounds and am 5'5". I know the basics of what I need to do to become healthy, but any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

As of now I do not exercise and suffer from binge eating disorder. Help me get my health back on track before it's too late!

BTW, it was very hard for me to come out and tell the world these embarrassing problems about me.

You're like a carbon copy of me in August. Since then I've joined my high school swim team(I had already been swimming for 6 years on and off),lost about 20 pounds Have been feeling much healthier and more active. I highly suggest joining a swim team as a way of exercise for us bigger girls( especially if you are as balance challenged as I am) because it is low impact, although the team you join may require dry land exercises like push ups andsos which really help, very easy once you get the hang of it and i find it very rewarding.

Well, to start you should probably get some therapy for your eating disorder if you aren't already. That will help I think, not just with the eating disorder but any other issues you have- in my experience usually people have some underlying issues/problems in their life that causes or at least contributes to the disorder? They can be difficult to deal with on your own, so really try to get some kind of professional help.

I expect at least some of your digestion problems are related to your eating disorder or just not eating a good diet. Its very hard for your system to stay regular if your food intake is not regular and healthy too. I think getting that under control should help some?
Your doctor or therapist should be able to refer you to a nutritionist who can help you develop some more healthy eating habits and maybe figure out what foods are better for your stomach and stuff like that. Also if you haven't seen an allergist, ask the doc about that? I'm not a doc or anything so IDK if thats really necessary, but sometimes this type of thing is related to a food sensitivity of some kind like problems digesting wheat or dairy?
One random thing- try eating some plain natural yogurt or kefir every day, if you are OK eating dairy. That can help to regulate your digestion some, it might help? And try looking up/asking doc or nutritionist for tips on what to eat&what not to eat when you have irritable bowel syndrome and acid reflux. I know that w/reflux certain foods make it a lot worse like spicy or greasy food, etc. Oh, drink more water and get more fiber too. That helps with constipation.
