Explain the role of each organ/part in the process of digestion? Here is what I got so far I just need like 50 more words to add to it. any help would be great...

The first digestive phase starts at the mouth and throat. The salivary glands start the process just in the sight and smell of food. The food enters through the mouth and is broken down by teeth and saliva forming into bolus. Then from there it goes through the pharynx into the esophagus. Then in about two to six hours the bolus then goes into the stomach when it is mixed with a semi- liquid mass called chyme. The chyme is then emptied into the small intestine. The secretions from the liver, gallbladder, and the pancreas aid in the digestion process. The rest of the chyme that is not digested from the small intestine is then thrown into the large intestine. It then goes into the colon. As leaving the colon it leaves the body through the anus that is in a form called feces.

Add something about how the epiglottis covers your trachea so that the food you swallow doesn't go down into your windpipe and choke you.

Also, the bolus is NOT mixed with a semi-liquid mass called chyme. When the bolus enters the stomach, gastric juices are released. These, combined with the food, are then slowly released into the duodenum (first part of the small intestine). The stuff that comes OUT of the stomach is called chyme.
