> The complex particles are chewed down by the teeth.
> The silavary amylase acts on the starch in the mouth.
B. stomach
> The complex particles are broken down to the simple form due to peristalsis
> The acids and various enzymes act on the food (now called chyme) to be passed on to the small intestine for the absorption.
C. small intestine
> The small intestine recies enzymes and bile acids froom liver and pancrea and thus the undissolved simple particles are further broken.
> The absorption of various particles like proteins (in the form oof amino acids), glucose etc takes place.
D. large intestine
> The large intestine is that part of the digestive system which recives the undigested part of the digestion mainly waste material.
> The large intestine excretes the waste material out of the body through anus.
