Digestive pain issues for a year?

Digestive pain issues for a year?what are the major symptoms of candida? I have been suffering abdominal pains and bloating and tightness of my stomach for about a year it all started after a being on a antibiotic (macrobid) for three days for a simple bladder infection since then **** has been terrible I am at the lowest point in my life been to many doctors they brush it off with as depression I saw a gi and had an edoscopy no inflamation was found but i think he only checked the stomach and not the small inestines as well or to culcutre a sample from the intestine to see if it's bacterial overgrowth. I am on a powder pro biotic for 5 days now take it twice a day it has 12 billion bacteria for 1/4 tea spoon or 1gram. I have taken about a full tea spoon twice daily it has 6 different strains but the largest quantity is with the lacto billsilu and the biffilus ones I belive. I also have a full spectrum plant based digestive enzyme. I have lost weight in this year i went from a healthy 140 pounds then a few months ago I weighed 120 pounds then finally on sat oct 30th 2010 I weighed 106 pounds. I have barley eaten in two weeks the tightness and bloating are constant. I think if this keeps as is I'll be dead by at least mid december or early January cause I have only eaten lettuce and some carrots here and there. I am 24 years old and I have lost a year of my life to something so stupid why didn't I just drink cranberry juice? Karma is teaching a lesson that I'm still learning right now not to take the easy way out with WMD'S that are known as antibiotics. I still feel hungry but anything I eat makes me bloated I wanted to try ensure but I heard that it has lots of sugar and that'll feed the candida and bacteria that are causing these problems what to do?

Update for most of this week a have been making my self eat small portions of food but now for the last six days i have been making a lot of saliva I have a spit bag near me at all times. I have also had to record 3 days of meals on paper becasue I am being sent to a dieticain ( that's actually being covered by ohip in canada) I want to see a naturo path aswell but my family didn't give me the money they think that I'm exargerating or inflating the symptoms I have can u believe that? My sis might lend me money I don't know yet. I guess i'm just going to pray and look at my options.

I know your pain. I went through a sudden change with my gut as well. A physician (ENT of all things) prescribed three antacid medications. While she did not admit to this, this affected my stomach acid output. It allowed my gut to take a hit. I got a parasite which in turn caused havoc on my stomach to include horrible horrible abdominal pain, change in bowel habits, loss of weight, dizziness, depression. After 9 physicians and tons of blood work and every GI procedure in the book, all my test were normal, everything.
I started looking at alternative medicine because all the medicines I was prescribed did nothing to aleviate my abdominal pain. I even had my gall bladder removed because a physician said my abdominal pain was caused by a non functioning gall bladder. When the pain did not go away, he said i was depressed or stressed and that was causing my abdominal pain.
I begged and was tested for Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth...with a simple breath test. Positive. I took an antiobotic called Rifaximin and Vancomycin and i noticed some improvement.
I was then given the diagnosis of Post Infectious IBS by a mayo clinic doctor. I am on a medicine called cholestrymine that has helped with my bowels.
a word of caution for you: Candida overgrowth is a myth. You are desperate and there will be people who call themselves experts that will try to squeeze all the money they can from you. Learn from my experience.
I tried RX antifungals to no avail, i paid $ 700 to a guy who gave me a candida treatment consiting of "potetent tri-therapy", nothing helped. This creep just said then it's not candida. Specialty labs are big on this candida issue because it is a money making business.
You are expriencing syptoms of IBS. More and more research suggest that it may be caused by an imbalance of good/bad bacteria and maybe even yeasts but it is due primarily because of an inflammation deep in the intestines.
Don't fall for the scams out there regarding candida. Find a good gastro that understands the overall symptoms of IBS and can offer you a variety of treatments to control your symptoms.

I work for a company that does a lot of work in foreign third world countries. Last year one of our employee was working is Honduras for 6 months on a major project. He began to get flu like symptoms and saw a local doctor. After taking medication he continued to get worse and began to lose weight. He was not hungry and when he did eat, he could not keep it down. We finally insisted that he come back to the States and I personally contacted the CDC in Atlanta to try to find out where we could send him for care. The CDC actually can not reccommend a specific doctor or medical facility, however they did refer me to a website which was very helpful. All in all we sent him to the MAYO Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. They determined in a matter of 24 hrs that he had a parasite and sent him to Emory University's Infectious Disease Center. Because it is part of my job, I followed this employees progress and believe me he was a very very sick person.

What I learned was that the "GENERAL" medical population just does not have the ability to diagnosis these types of issues. Most doctors treat based on the synptoms, which is typical. Medical center's however are more experienced at treating the highly unusual issues, mainly because they are a teaching facility and looking at the issue in a different prespective.,

I am not a doctor or nurse, but I see very unusual issues because of my line of work. I would venture to say that you have a very unusual issue, one that a general doctor will not be able to diagnosis in a 20 minute office visit. I would also venture to say that your condition is at a critical stage and needs immediate intelligent medical attention. If your symptoms are what you say they are and you are not exargerating, chances are very good that you may have a parasite.

I would suggest that you get to a major reputable teaching medical center NOW.
Good Luck to you.,,,,,,,,,,,

BTW: Our employee spent 9 months at Emory University Medical Center where he had to have a portion of his stomach removed and a section of his small intestines. His parasite was eating him alive. He had no idea how he ingested it, but doctors at Emory said it could have been in the water he bathed in, or where he went swimming. You don;t necessarily have to ingest a parasite, there are many other openings in your body other than your mouth.
