Digestive Issues? Needs your opinions.?Ok, so I vomit every single day, not because I want to of course, but because my body hates me.

My doc diagnosted me with GERD, but I'm not sure my symptoms really match that disorder.

I vomit bile every morning, sometimes throughout the day as well.
I have diarea at least one day, all day, every 2 weeks or so.
When I don't have diarea, I'm painfully constipated.

I have no food allergies, and the only medication I'm on is Birth Control. I used to be on Nexium, which helped with indigestion, but didn't stop the mass amounts of bile my stomach produced for me to vomit up every morning, so I stopped taking it after a month or so.

I have never experienced blood in stools or vomit, so I'm pretty sure its not Crohns, though my family has a history of that.

What does this sound like? Could my life hindering symptoms really all be due to GERD?
I didn't mention my diet as this has been an ongoing problem for roughly 7 years now, and in that time, I had many different diets.

I was a vegetarian for about 2 years but got malnourished so I started eating meat again. For a while I used to eat a lot of fast food, now I eat it once a month or less. I tend to eat a lot of veggies and whole grains, occasional fruit and meat.

Digestive issues can improve greatly with digestive enzyme supplements to help with digestion and if needed betaine hydrochloride supplements (some digestive enzymes supplements contain betaine hydrochloride) to increase stomach acid. Insufficient stomach acid and/or lack of digestive enzymes in the diet is the number one cause of GERD, acid reflux, indigestion, heartburn. My mother no longer suffers GERD or LPR - suffered both severely for 5 years. 2 weeks of digestive enzymes and betaine hydrochloride supplements, both GERD and LPR gone!

You don't mention diet. I have had a similar problems - not nearly as severe as yours - no diagnosis. Had to find my own answers.
Try no dairy, no caffeine. No processed foods -- use whole grains only. No restaurant foods (processed and high fat). No smoking. Drink lots of water. Eat very low fat meals -- note that turkey breast has less than half the fat of chicken breast -- but "good fats" are fine for me -- flax seed oil, olive oil, eating avocados don't bother me at all.

Better yet -- if you are willing to try a big change -- try a vegan diet for awhile. You'd have to investigate to make sure you are getting proper protein and B12.

Pay close attention to your diet, what you have eaten and when, and how you react the next hour, the next day.Better yet -- keep a food and symptom diary.

Eat things that are GOOD for digestion: ginger aids digestion and is also excellent for nausea, fresh pineapple (not canned) has digestive enzymes. They became my "salt and pepper" -- added to just about everything.

If you can afford it, see a Naturopath? They are doctors who train in use of natural methods.

Best wishes to you, honey.
