Can someone tell be a brief state on how homeostasis is maintained in the digestive system?im writing a report on the digestive system and i have heard that homeostasis is maintained in it but i cant find any information in my text book about it. Can someone explain how homeostasis is maintained in the digestive system in a brief state?

Basically, when you have too little of stuff, negative feedback by hormones stimulates production of bile in your liver and your pancreas as well as small intestine (influenced by hormones in your Islets of...I forget what, but it starts with L) they start secreting stuff (digestive juices, enzymes, acids) that break down your food :)
