Can an injury causing a bruised rib cause digestive problems?I recently fell onto the corner of a piece of metal about half an inch wide, It did not cause any serious cut, but bruised my rib as i fell with my entire body weight and basically folder over it. Knocked the wind out of me pretty good.

Well probably the next day I began having episodes of stabbing pain in my stomach that would last for about 20 seconds or so. It would come on as a slight painful nausea and then into the stabbing pain. This would happen roughly every 30 mins or so. Sometimes in pairs.

I also began to have diarrhea often, but what was weird was it was always a very small amount. I assumed it was something i ate, as I am currently deployed to a third world country and am exposed to all sorts of things every day. It has lasted about 6 days as of now. The pain is no longer as severe but it still comes and goes just as before.

Could this be something more serious than a stomach bug?
I hate to be a hypochondriac but it's worrying me a bit.
Right side, about two ribs from the bottom. There's no Emergency room per say here. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan.

Did you go to the emergency room? You might have done some internal damage. Spleen, punctured a part of your upper intenstines, or something else. You get yourself to an Urgent Care facility right now?!
