bulimia/digestive system/metabolism - really, really slow..?okay, it's complex.
but, i've been somewhere between bulimic & anorexic for a long time, mainly bulimic so any food is used to going that way ^

and, i tried to have a soup with bread in last night. (without being sick)
and i gained about 2 lbs when checked this morn.
i know some of that was food weight itself cos it hadn't passed but still.
it should've done cos i waited like a day
i'd also rode 10 miles and that only made half a lb difference

so, yeah, i really fear gaining more weight atm
anyhoo i tried to eat more today tryin to get into a normal pattern of eating if you understand
but i ended up bingeing
so
i ended up being sick an yea. so. not good.
i did go to toilet once today but still, i've
still gained a lot of weight and idk whether thats liquid that'll pass tomoz or not or wat

but i really think my digestive system has slowed down. and metab too, but digestive system.. wow thats bad isnt it.....
i'm trying to get into the normal swing of eating after a long time of next-to-no food because even if i had food i'd be sick. wth do i do to rev up my metabolism & digestive system?
cos if that's gonna happen whenever i have soup, wth happens when i have weetabix, soup, snacks and fruit throughout the day ?! O:

i really wanna get into a normal pattern with eating food but i tried this once before and a similar thing happened and i was like a high-normal weight there down from morbidly obese, you would've thought that my digestive system / metabolism wouldn't of been too bad off then either ?! but now i'm like borderline about underweight just. so. i understand my bmr and all that's lower but still, like what foods should i eat now and that digest easy and fast?! i just wanna eat normal again but obv i gotta work on this i just have a feeling my digestive system's slowed down. never mind metabolism!

your metabolism is probaby EXTREMELY slow, probably like a 70 year old man. if you want to speed it up you have to eat 5-6 meals a day! and STOP purging, it isnt helping!!!!!!

For the slowed system take Benefiber every morning in juice or coffee. Coffee works best since caffeine jump starts your system as well. Other posters are right in saying that if you're not eating enough, your system will be slow.

Eating disorders are complex. You already know that you're ruining your system to some degree, but really the consequences are life lasting. I had all the above for years. My system slowed down and now I need to be on thyroid for life because my actions were so hard on my body. I went to the ER three times with stomach spasms worse than giving birth. I had many more things go wrong that I won't go into, but it was a wake up call. I hope you get yours earlier.

A book that helped me was How Much Does Your Soul Weigh. It's a very real and down to earth book that makes you think. Read the reviews on Amazon. It really is targeted at people with eating issues and how to change your relationship with food. Of course, talking to someone and therapy helps, but if that is too much this is a good place to start. Throw away your scale too.
