At what age does a human digestive system fully develop?Someone was telling me that he won't allow his 12 year old daughter to eat sushi because her digestive system has not fully develop. He's afraid it would damage her system. I never heard of this. What about the millions of Japanese children who eat sushi on the daily bases, let alone their long life expentacy. Any info?

Nonsense. 12yr old has a fully developed digestive system unless the child has been malnourished for all those years. It takes a few years from birth to develop the digestive system because the good bacteria hasn't fully setup shop in our intestines. And we need several different types of good bacteria. So, by the time they're 4-5yrs old, they should be ready to eat anything.
