What to do about post-appendectomy stomach disorders?I had my appendix removed in 07.. since then I've been to the top gastrointestinal doctors in Florida. I've spent hundreds of thousands of dollars try to find relief. I've been in constant pain for 3 years now. I can't eat solids anymore and I have to take moviprep(the liter of liquid laxative they give you before a colonoscopy) every few days, just to eliminate. no medications can help the pain or the anxiety all of this has caused me. I've had every test available and tried every time of doctor out there. I have even tried natural medicines and acupuncture. if anyone has any information on this please leave a comment.

Need more information :

Yes or no on tests : CT scans, small bowel follow through, enteroclysis, upper GI, upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy (aka lower endoscopy), ultrasounds, hida scan (nuclear medicine), gastric emptying study, capsule endoscopy.

Age (range), weight (range), symptoms.

At this point, with little information, I'd wonder if you had a bad adhesion or a stricture, or if there are other factors at play that have killed your colonic /intestinal motility.

Your complaint is unusual. Was your appendectomy a really bad exploded appendix with an open surgery, or a simple appy with a 1 inch incision, or laparoscope? Any immediate complications?

Will follow up if you provide more.
