What relationship exists between cardiovascular diseases and the circulatory system?

Posted by Courtney
The circulatory system is like the road for your blood and nutrients to travel. If the road (vessels) becomes dangerous, the heart and other organs have to work harder to move the blood and nutrients through. Think snow plows. The more work they have to do, the more worn down and tired they become. As a result, they are no longer efficient. You end up with CV dz because the circulatory system has to work harder ie increased pressures, damage to blood vessel lining, etc. Hope this helps.
