If you have urinary tract problems, your kidneys can become inefficient. When that happens, uric acid can build up in the blood. This can cause nausea. I nearly died of a severe infection in my kidneys when I was in seventh grade, but they kept giving me gastrointestinal tests because I was always sick to my stomach. Finally, it became obvious to one doctor and he had me take a urine test.
