Ok, now I'm confused. Has anything like this every occurred with your kids?I posted a question a day ago about my 4 year old son vomiting twice in one day (Tuesday). My son went to stay the night again with the grandparents because me youngest had an upset stomach a fever (my in-laws offered to keep my son). This morning, my daughter's stomach seems to have improved, but my father in law called me about an hour ago and said now my son is having liquid diarrhea.

Here's what gets me: Still no fever, relatively normal appetite, still playing, not really acting sick or like his stomach hurts. He's just needing to go to the bathroom a lot and it's diarrhea. So vomiting twice on Tuesday and diarrhea starting Friday.

Is that some kind of stomach bug or just really odd stomach coincidences? I've pretty good and my daughter hasn't vomited or had diarrhea at all (though she did have her upset stomach yesterday).

Is this is just a kid's digestive system or should I treat it like a virus? Is it typical for a child to start the stomach virus one day and then be fine for a few days and then have more symptoms later?
For a little back ground, I provided the link for my first question:

I'm not going to take him to the doctor for some diarrhea, especially when he's not acting sick. The doctor will just look at him and say "It's probably a virus. Keep him hydrated." I don't need to pay a $ 30 co-pay to know that.

I'm not really sure, but I do know that a day of diarrhea is actually okay. Your body is just getting rid of bacteria.

Could be just a stomach bug. The diarrhea could be from eating something his stomach wasn't quite ready for from being sick, or he could be "passing" the bug.

My daughter had a stomach bug 2 weeks ago. At first she was only vomiting and acting lethargic. She went 3 days without puking and acted her normal self. Then she started with the diarrhea on day 5. No puking, fever, nothing. On day 7, she is completely back to herself.

this is normal every child is different.some puke first , then have the poops, some start out with the poops and then pukes. As long as there is no fever, all should be fine. give them some Gatorade

Sounds just like a stomach flu virus. With kids it can come and go; they act perfectly fine in between. My kids used to get exactly what you're describing. It's frustrating, because you think they're over it and then it comes back. The timing of 2-3 days in between kids is also typical of the flu. It's no fun, but I wouldn't worry about it. Keep them hydrated and comfortable and wash your hands a lot so you don't catch it from them.
