My doc diagnosed me with having a slow digestive system after a gastric emptying scan.?What do I do from here? Is there anything I can do to get things up to normal?

My husband has the same problem. He was told to eat a low fat, low residue diet. Low residue is no whole grain breads, little salad, less fibrous stuff. He was happy to hear that; it took my 2 years to get him off the white wonder bread and onto whole wheat. Now he's glad to go back to the "non healthy" foods! I can't win.
