ulli in Telugu is onion not garlic.Onion and garlic gave many common things . They have a pungent odor, strong condimental taste and a suphur containing Allicin which is bactericidal. Allicin disappears after cooking.Both onion and garlic are appetisers.Both are digestants and mild aperients.Onion and garlic have no action on cholesterol
