I think I may have a chronic digestive problem or something of that sorts.?I am 18 and male, I am almost exactly 6' tall and weigh 125-130. I have always been and looked really really skinny. I can't eat in the morning or I'll get sick. I really don't get an appetite till around 4 P.M. and it will grow from there. I can eat the most around midnight. I have acid reflux like problems (lots of gas, i can burp and fart all day long and it won't feel better) and antacids seem to barely help. I have been to doctors and they just keep throwing antacids my way. I am pretty anxious and will shake a lot and I believe there is a correlation between me shaking and my digestive process. After a big meal, my leg will shake almost uncontrollably. I get nauseous fairly often. It has gotten worse recently with increase gas, stomach pains, and irregular bowl movements.I also recently threw up undigested food from which was in my stomach a good amount of time before I threw up. My mother thinks its hypoglycemia, but it is my impression most hypoglycemics are also diabetics. I have been told about celiac disorder which seems possible. Any suggestions???

You need to see a Gastroenterologist. He/she will be able to do some thourough tests to try and find out what is wrong with you. Get your family doctor to reffer you to one.

this used to happen to me a lot too. yknow the cause? bad diet.
i didnt eat fruit or anything 'healthy'. my diet was basically:
-breakfast: bottle of coca cola or a starbucks, my order varied though!
-lunch: mayonaisse covered pasta, occasionally a biscuit, or nothing
-tea: pizza or anything like that, then bingey on unhealthy snacks
on weekends i frequently ate at fast food places, drank LOTS of caffiene and alcohol. caffiene was the main cause but it all adds up.
i had the same symptoms as you, lots of acid reflux, burning throat, burping, nausea, BAD abdominal pains that usually signalled an upcoming bowel movement.. which were all very NON healthy for, ahem, feces.
i took this to my doctor who suggested celiac disease, and various other things - such as gastrointestinal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, a dozen other allergies. tested for them, they all came back negative, THEN he heard my diet. then he told me that he guessed way i ate was killing my insides to the point where they couldn't work properly anymore - and i was only 14. but no one ever guessed it was because i had a bad diet because i was skinny and had a nice, toned body and LOOKED healthy. common misconception that skinny = healthy!
he referred me to a dietrician who wrote up a specialised repair diet. if that worked, then he was right and it was my diet. if it didn't, we'd keep looking. it was TOUGH but it worked, i don't have those symptoms... at ALL anymore. it's amazing. i feel totally different and without worry.
my advice is go see your doctor. he'll test for all the neccessaries, probably suggest what you're thinking.
just so you know my stats (at that time) were about 5'8", 125lbs.
good luck+hope you feel much better soon.

I'd suggest a low carb way of eating. Low carb normalizes a body making the overweight normal & the underweight normal, by adding lean tissue. Go through the program in the exact same way as for weight loss except no need to think about carb levels. This way you should be able to identify what exact food is causing you problems. I think you have a blood sugar problem and a food allergy.
I'd suggest you keep your diet sugar free the first week, you can add sugar the next week and see how your body reacts to it then, if you get a reaction, eliminate that item and continue on with the next item. After you've figured out what doesn't give you bad reactions you can add in the other items again and see if you get bad reaction second time, which should confirm that this is just not something you can eat. Unfortunately for some people, they crave the most what they are allergic. The most common allergens are wheat, gluten, dairy, nuts and corn - so pay particular attention to these items & add them separately.
Make sure you take a multivitamin daily and half an avocado daily (a banana might work also but switch to avocado if you have bad reaction) add sea salt & potassium supplements. You need to take probiotics daily also, adding yogurt when you get to dairy stage
Start with meat, eggs, fats (mayo, butter, oils) & green veg for a week and then you can slowly add in others: wk2 yogurt, cream & cheeses, wk3 milk, wk4 nuts & seeds, wk5 berries, wk6 legumes, wk7 other fruits, wk8 starchy veg, and lastly wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods. As long as you remain <9 carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control and will keep hormones in balance.
Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
Simple carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs and eat one every time you want "something" have huge bacon, peppers, mushrooms & cheese omelets for breakfast. Pork chops for lunch. Get pork rinds and eat them with tuna salad. Steak for dinner. Make a huge sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Eat so much you won't feel deprived of anything. By the fourth day, your addiction will be gone and you can start making healthy choices.
High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger and unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
Ground flax seed (2 Tbsp) 1/4 cup of water, cinnamon, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg - let sit 10 min to absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle and nuke for 1.5 min. for hot cereal or 2 min. for more of a muffin type thing. Great low carb, high fiber treat. Suggested for daily fiber needs.
Dr.Atkins was a cardiologist, low carb was a health plan easier sold as a "diet" Read any of his books for easily understandable science. Normalizing blood pressure, blood sugar, insulin, cholesterol, triglyercerides and hormone levels are all bonus features of doing a low carb way of eating. Lutz "Life without Bread" & Taubes "Good calories, Bad calories" are excellent books that dispel all the nutrition myths.
