How does the nose aid in the digestive system?I'm having a little trouble researching this part of the digestive system. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

The smell of foods contributes towards the taste. Smell is an important part of being able to recognise when food has gone off (smelling milk to be sure it's safe to drink), and without the smell it may be that you expose yourself to bad foods.

Also, yo ucan breathe through your nose while you're chewing your food, so you don't suffocate when you eat.
