How does the Digestive system affect the Cardiovascular system?I know that the cardiovascular system brings nutrients that are carried to the digestive, and all other systems, but I don't know how it works the other way around. When I try to look it up all I get is the information I already have.

I'm wishing you were a little more specific in your question, but I'll give it a try.

When you eat foods—such as bread, meat, and vegetables—they are not in a form that the body can use as nourishment. Food and drink must be changed into smaller molecules of nutrients before they can be absorbed into the blood and carried to cells throughout the body. Digestion is the process by which food and drink are broken down into their smallest parts so the body can use them to build and nourish cells and to provide energy. Which may be the part you already have.

The coronary circulatory system provides a blood supply to the heart. As it provides oxygenated blood to the heart, it is by definition a part of the systemic circulatory system. So just like all the other muscles that use glucose to function, so does the heart. But eating the wrong foods can clog the heart and form atherosclerosis. So what you eat can be good for the heart and/or bad for the heart.

But there are many ways that digestion affects the heart such as when the heart has to speed up to handle digestion.
