OOH, OOH, PICK ME! The piece of food can be on vacation, IN AN AMUSEMENT PARK. So the peristaltic motion down the esophagus could be like a water slide, and the mouth would be the entrance... And their ticket would be the fact that they had been slightly digested by the salivary amylase, and so on... Might be overdone, but you never know :D
