Do dietary supplements cause any digestive problems when used for long periods of time?I am focusing on the idea that if you take a dietary supplement, such as vitamin E or something, daily for several years, does your digestive system become dependent on the supplement.

Meaning that, if you stop taking it will your stomach and digestive tract be able to derive the vitamins or nutrients from the normal food you eat.

i believe there is truth in that.

I know of one supplement, achenacia, that you can only take for 3 days, to boost your white blood cells, but anything after that your system weakens thinking it doesn't have to do the work itself - like a domesticated animal, it becomes reliant on the synthetic way of obtaining nutrients/supplements.
