Digestive system problems after visiting Egypt?I returned from Egypt yesterday and two days before i leave i was very sick (stomach pain, vomiting etc). I guess it was food related. The day after i was much better and didnt vomit but till now i dont feel hungry and feel that i have stone like feeling in the stomach. I do can drink water. Im afraid because i havent eat for two days. Will i be good?

iam sorry to hear that :(
it depends on what you ate and from where and possibly the change in weather too like made you catcg a flu and so , i recommend you to check on you and give you proper medications if needed.

That's exactly what happened to me and my family when we went out there just for ten days.we all started to fall sick and suffered the same symptoms as you.It was horrible, injections, drips you name it.We stayed in a 5* hotel and didn't eat from outside either to avoid such things but still. We left earlier then we were meant to and came back to UK.Now that's what you call a pharaonic curse.
You must take off the counter medicines to hydrate yourself because your body must have lost so much water and minerals and feeling weak and lost apatite is the result of this.It will take a bit of time but you will be fine.

This is Traveler's Diarrhea. A usually mild intestinal condition caused by adjustment to microorganisms in the water of another geographical destination or by other causes associated with travel.
That wasn't my words. I add from my experience as a traveler and an Egyptian man working in Tourism, changing weather, type of food and cooking ways may cause some stomach problems to some people. Some medicines or alcoholic drinks with our weather can add to the problem too.
It's not only in Egypt, it happens even to some Egyptians when they travel abroad or sometimes inside Egypt different regions.
Some experienced travelers know how to avoid it or to deal with this problem without panic.

Maybe you ate some Egyptian food , that you aren't used to in your country ? Maybe it was just a coincident , who knows ? just go get some medical care and you will be fine .
good luck , and peace :)
