Digestive problems. What doctor?I'm having some digestive problems and I think that I need to go to the doctor to get checked. Does any one know what is the name for that kind of doctor. There are foot doctors, heart doctors, child doctors. I was just wondering if there was a difference. Do I just call my family doctor and make an appointment. Or do I call a specialist?

You need a gastroenterologist. You may need to call your family doctor to get a referral to one or not.
