Could I have hypothyroidism? Some common problems I have:

I get cold easily at times
My nails are unhealthy and slightly brittle in some places
I started having puffy/red undereye circles a the age of 15
I take a lot of naps because my sleep schedule/work schedule/sleep patterns is odd
Sometimes I have trouble sleeping or staying asleep
Sometimes I have body aches and pains
I have a very irregular period
I have frequent moodswings...some days I go without any problems and I'm fine and energetic
I am really hairy for a female
I have dry/flakey/wrinkly skin unless I moisturize frequently....but my shoulders, neck and chest are smooth and nice
I have a lot of stress!
I have memory problems at times and trouble concentrating at times
Sometimes I have very little appetite...others I feel like eating a lot
I am 21 and 5'5'' about 100-110 lbs
I have problems with my digestive system frequently at times...if I eat my food has trouble digesting and I have tummy aches

Are there any natural cures for this? I can't afford the doctor:/

there is nothing I can tell you except go to a Dr. because you need to have your blood tested. A lot of those symptoms are related in anemia also. You really need to see a Dr. no matter how expensive, what it comes down to is you either live or you don't, and the Dr. will make sure you live. You can always have it billed so you dont have to pay up front.

A lot of the things you have listed would be normal occurrences for a 21 year old. Taking some tylenol or motrin for the aches/pains would be common sense. Increasing your daily water intake may help with your dry skin. Eating a healthy diet and getting at least 20-30 minutes of daily exercise (walking briskly is easiest) will improve your overall feeling of well-being and will probably improve the quality of your sleep. And, if the symptoms don't go away with lifestyle changes, save up some money and go to the doctor's office and get your thyroid tested. An average clinic visit is around $ 150.

Sounds like you may!

Have you had thyroid tested? Need testing for ANTIBODIES as well as TSH. TSH should be .3 – 3 but would not matter if antibodies are present. Indicative of Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis…main cause of HypOthyroid & is worse ...OR Graves Disease (hypER).

WARNING: Doctors seem not to want to find thyroid disease. May have to go to more than one before you get the right tests, interpretation, and treatment. Best wishes.

You do have a lot of the symptoms unfortunately :( I'm only 14 and I have it. They best thing to do is just go to your doctor and ask for a blood test to test for hypothyroidism. The treatment is pretty simple. Unfortunately no there are no natural cures. If you have hypothyroidism you most likely have it for life. I hope you don't have it! Good luck :)
