Can someone answer these digestive system questions?Explain the function of the digestive enzymes amylase, protease and lipase.

Explain the results of the chemical digestion of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and discuss if this occurs in the mouth, stomach and/or small intestines.

Please & thank you!

Amylase is in the mouth and breaks down starches.

All of the three are enzymes- if you notice, the roots of both words are the same, but the enzymes end in "ase". This is how you can easily identify what enzymes are, and what they act upon.

Amylase is located in saliva, and it helps to break down foods and amylose(into glucose)
Protease breaks down protein(into amino acids)
Lipase breaks down lipids(into fatty acids)

Amylase in the saliva breaks down amylose in food, turning the it into carbohydrates(glucose is a carb). I am not positive where protease and lipase function, but they function in the same way
