Bleeding from the mouth on a torsal injury?I've searched everywhere, but I cannot seem to find the answer to a question, and it's been slightly annoying.
I've heard from an overwhelming amount of sources that one can bleed from the mouth when suffering a torsal injury (which often proves fatal). What is the correlation between the vomiting/coughing of blood and an injury to the trunk? Does it simply have something to do with trauma to the upper digestive or respiratory tract, or is it something different? Can someone give me a detailed answer, please?

There is an artery that runs along the esophagus, it can be perforated by erosion or an inujry. If the perforation is big enough, then the person can easily bleed out... the person generally swallows the blood until their stomach fills with blood, then they vomit it all out.

I left a link explaining it.
